The Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) application portal is now live. Legal practitioners can apply for their 2020 FFCs on this link: https://ffc.fidfund.co.za/login/

 

Chief Master’s directive: Suffix in Mortis Causa Trusts

The Chief Master has issued a new directive regarding suffixes in Mortis Causa (Testamentary) Trusts. The implementation date for this directive was 15 November. The purpose of the directive is to ensure a uniform approach by Masters of the High Court and to give guidance to the public and the industry. Have you signed up to be part of the PALU Women in Law Committee?

The Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU) has invited all women and men who have not yet signed up, but wish to be part of its Women in Law Committee (the Committee), to send their intention to do so via e-mail to secretariat@lawyersofafrica.org. The Committee is a platform to share news, progress and best practices and recommendations on the various issues that affect women in the legal profession.
