Obituary
Legal practitioner, Aandhia Panday, passed away on 21 September 2024 in a motor vehicle accident. She was laid to rest on 25 September 2024.
Ms Panday attended Gordon Road Girls’ School in Durban from 2005 to 2012 where she completed her primary school education. She then attended Maris Stella School for Girls in Durban where she completed her matric at the end of 2017. In 2018, she enrolled at the University of KwaZulu-Natal to study towards an LLB. She graduated with an LLB Honors degree on 5 May 2022 with the Dean’s Commendation. She was a member and a social media facilitator of the Black Lawyers Association Student Chapter. She was also member of the UNICEF campus club. She served as a judge for the third year moot court in 2022.
She served her articles of clerkship with Austen Smith Attorneys in Pietermaritzburg. She was admitted as a legal practitioner on 26 July 2024. She was employed at Austin Smith Attorneys until her untimely passing on 21 September 2024.
