South African Law Reform Commission

The LSSA hosted a successful webinar on 17 November 2023 on the SA Law Reform Commission’s (SALRC) Discussion Paper on the Review of Aspect of Matrimonial Property Law. It appeared that certain aspects of the Discussions Paper need clarity. The SALRC will be presenting a series of virtual workshops on 4, 6 and 7 December focusing respectively on religious marriages, customary marriages and the default matrimonial property system, unmarried life partnerships, discretion, technical issues at divorce, etc. Practitioners are urged to attend these workshops.
