Spoor & Fisher wins at the Managing Intellectual Property EMEA Awards

Intellectual property law firm Spoor & Fisher received the Africa Firm of the Year 2019 and South Africa Firm of the Year 2019 awards at the Managing Intellectual Property EMEA Awards held in London.

Intellectual property law firm Spoor & Fisher walked away with the Africa Firm of the Year 2019 and South Africa Firm of the Year 2019 awards at the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) EMEA Awards held in London in March. In a statement, Spoor & Fisher said it has been 14 years, that MIP Awards has recognised remarkable achievements and developments in the intellectual property field.

The statement further stated that the awards considered all activity over the past year, including successful cases, notable client wins and the innovative approach to the law. Spoor & Fisher had also previously been the winners of the inaugural Global IP Awards’ Trademark Firm of the Year; the Gold Award for the Best IP Advisor: Africa & Middle East at the Innovation & IP Forum and Awards; PMR Africa’s Diamond Arrow Award and the firm was also ranked as a Gold Band trade mark firm in South Africa by WTR 1000 and as a Band 1 firm by Chambers and Partners in their Chambers Global Guide 2019 rankings.

In her comments, Chairperson of Spoor & Fisher, Tshepo Shabangu said ‘These accolades further establish our credentials as one of the leading IP firms on the continent. The award is a testament to the hard work of our partners, directors, associates and staff across all of our offices and validates our client’s centric ethos and continued innovation.’
